Superblue

Meet SuperBlue, a brush-based concave and flared sans serif. The letter shapes are build with a flat-brush construction, utilizing two unique brush sizes. The vertical strokes are created with a somewhat wider brush than the accompanying horizontal strokes. This gives the letters optimized contrast for reading in small sizes. ¶ SuperBlue was created as the backbone of the typographic identity for the clothing brand Hexar Ltd. Based in the tradition of work clothing and uniforms, Hexar Limited’s line embraces modern functionality and production technology. ¶ SuperBlue is designed for typographic tasks within Hexar Ltd. including editorial layouts, product packaging, business papers and collateral.
